Nigerian Airline Launches New ‘Take Your Own Seat’ Policy

In a bold new move to combat the ongoing airline crisis, AirNG, one of Nigeria’s largest domestic airlines, has announced its new “Take Your Own Seat” policy. This groundbreaking initiative allows passengers to bring their own chairs and seat cushions onto the plane.

“We realized that people are tired of waiting in long queues to get boarding passes and bags,” said the airline’s CEO, Olumide Ojo. “Now, passengers will simply show up at the gate, pick a seat, and board the plane.”

According to Ojo, this reduces delays, as “no one has to wait for a seat to be available.” However, some customers have expressed concerns that there may be confusion when passengers are asked to bring their own seats to check-in. “What about legroom?” one frequent flyer asked, “I can’t sit in my chair if I can’t even stretch my legs!”
In response, Ojo replied, “You will stretch your legs in the spirit of Nigeria. It’s a vibe.”
